Chris founded McCartney Insurance Group (MIG) in 2012 after five years on the corporate side with a captive carrier. Determined to offer clients broader carrier and product choices, he launched an independent agency to deliver the best solutions.
Originally from England, Chris holds a degree in Sports Science from Edge Hill University near Liverpool. After college he spent three years working on cruise ships (yep 100% as fun as it sounds) before relocating to Northern Virginia. Outside the office he enjoys travel and sports (including watching ones from his childhood like football (soccer) rugby and cricket) and spending time with his wife Kim, son Keaton, and stepchildren Ava and Austin.
